Ch.18

Marisu awoke to find himself in chains. His body ached, and there was a putrid smell emminating everywhere. There was light.
There were tanks in the same room as him, all glowing luminecently. There was a familiar figure in the tank facing him. Horror filled his eyes. Isis had been placed inside the glowing waters with a tube in her mouth that allowed her to breathe.
"Your awake...finally.."
Marisu turned to face the sound. The sly Persian was standing beside the tank, with his buddy Blastoise.
"Your about to witness one of your own become on of us. We have found a way to convert the chemicals into a gas form. In minutes the level I pulled will start cycling the gas into her lungs." Then they left for the shadows.
Marisu too tired to move, urgued himself forward.  The chains stoped him cold. His arms dropped.
"Isis...don't go..." was all his breath would allow. Then an explosion alarmed him. There was a tall figure standing before him. It was a Blazikin, wearing sunglasses.
"I'm Torch, the spy. And I'm here to help." She said softly.
Marisu's hopes burned again. Torch lit the chains and burned them right off. Marisu's energy came back once more. He ran for the tank.
He placed his palm over the surface.
"Isis..I'll get you out!," Marisu fueled his electricity. He let it burst through his body and through the machines. The tank cracked, and exploded. Isis was free.
"Wha-..t", she whined. Marisu catched as she fell. They were together again. Isis flicked her ears, and was charged with some of Marisu's electricity. The room was torn and everything was shattered. marisu turned to thank torch, but she was gone.
"C'mon, we have to free our village." Isis recalled. Thier eyes folled what seemed to be arrows. "Look that nice Blazikin left us a trail to follow, that means she knows where the vilage is!", the two shouted together. They exchanged smiles and follwed the arrows.
